I have a 13 year old Golden Retriever who has been the love of my life. Recently I saw a copy of ' An Old Dogs Song", as I read it, I felt I could have written those words myself. I could not resist buying it. It is now framed and hanging in my home, giving me comfort every day as I share the precious days Jacob and I still share. I love this print and admire your talent and the time you must have spent creating it.

How this print was made

This print is a 2 colour linoprint hand-printed on acid free Zerkall Extra Smooth 145gsm paper.

There are just 104 prints in the edition and each one is individually signed and numbered.

The print was made with 2 lino blocks - one block for each of the 2 colours in the print. The areas to be printed were hand carved into the lino blocks. This takes many hours - especially carving the tiny letters of the poem! The yellow was printed first from one lino block using traditional oil based ink. The prints are then hung up to dry ready to print the sepia black from the second lino block over the top. It is important that the paper is placed in exactly the same position for the printing of both colours so that the two colours are aligned in the final print.
